XVIII Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics
The Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics (MSMP) is the official meeting of the Medical Physics Division of the Mexican Physical Society (SMF). Since its beginning in 1997, various universities and hospitals, in different parts of Mexico, have hosted the Symposium:

Starting from the VIII MSMP in 2004 in Guanajuato, the Symposium is held every 2 years. On this occasion, the XVIII MSMP will take place in the city of Guanajuato in the year 2024. The Symposium is organized by the Medical Physics Division of the Mexican Physical Society in collaboration with the University of Guanajuato.
The MSMP is focused on being a space for academic and professional debate on new approaches in Medical Physics, including the most innovative modalities in various fields such as radiotherapy, tomography, ultrasound, medical images, computational modeling and simulation, bioinstrumentation, biomagnetism and fields related.
Following the practice of all previous symposia, the XVIII MSMP will be focused on current scientific issues in Medical Physics around the world, with prominent speakers invited to speak on various topics of interest to the medical physics community in Mexico and the Latin American region. The XVIII MSMP will also be a space for discussion on the role and challenges of the medical physicist in the hospitals of our countries.
In addition, a pre-symposium school will be held, which aims to provide continuing education on essential topics, offering attendees, ideally students at the undergraduate and master´s level, a general view of topics relevant to the field of medical physics.
