16th Meeting INFO

October 1st - 3rd, 2026  

 

Currently, thanks to the enormous advance in supercomputers and molecular simulation methods, a wide range of complex problems in chemistry, physics, biology and engineering can be studied and understood at the molecular level.

Molecular simulation methods predict the movement of molecules and the way they interact. The application of these methods allows us to have a better knowledge of the role that forces play in the description of many physical phenomena.

It is estimated that they can impact the development of areas such as health (design of better drugs), energy (materials to transport and store fuels more efficiently, biofuels, renewable materials such as lithium batteries, solar cells) and the environment (friendly solvents, separation and storage of contaminants).

 

This year, the Meeting on Molecular Simulations Prize is awarded to a national researcher. The community is asked to send proposals to the Selection Committee.

 

Symposium Objectives

• Promote research in the field of Molecular Simulation in Mexico and establish scientific collaborations with national and international colleagues.
• Encourage the participation of undergraduate and graduate students to present their research work.
• Increase the mobility of students and researchers between different institutions at a national and international level.
• Establish a national/international molecular simulation network.
• Grant recognition every two years to a national researcher in the field of Molecular Simulation.

 

 

 

The 16th Meeting on Molecular Simulations will take place in Guadalajara at the Auditorium "Enrique Díaz de León", Módulo A, Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías (CUCEI), Universidad de Guadalajara, Jalisco. October 1st - 3rd, 2026.

Pronto pago: 15 de septiembre ($2,053 MXN)
Pago regular: 16 de septiembre ($2,580 MXN).

Registration fee includes the conference program, coffee and snacks during breaks, access to the presentations, a place to put your poster presentation and attendance at the event meal.

You'll need to register for the Meeting on the 16th Meeting Registration Form, indicating if you would prefer be an oral presentation or a poster.

Once the registration has been completed, the acceptance letter will be sent to you, where applicable.
